in the Park” - Saturday, July 12th... “Pride in the Park” will be held Saturday, July 12th from 11:00 am until 4:00pm and Donna Olson is preparing the HSMCC Pridefest Booth. Setup will begin at 9:00am. We have gotten approval from GLCS to sell “desserts”. Donna will have a sign up sheet for helping in the booth along with donating desserts/bars/cookies to sell. Pastor Nancy will officiate a Blessing of Couples, 12:45pm. HSMCC
will hold the annual Dessert Action after worship on Sunday, July 13th,
with Paul Butler serving as the Auctioneer again. Contact Paul with your
baked good donation. The proceeds from the Auction will again go to GLCS
in thanks for all that organization does for our community. Carolyn
Marshal and Pat Grant In Concert — Sunday, July 20th… Evangelists, Carolyn Marshall and Pat Grant of Marshall-Grant
Ministries, Inc. will bring music and reader’s theater comedy to
Healing Spirit at 7:00pm Sunday, July 20th. Admission is free; a love
offering will be collected. Carolyn Marshall’s clear soprano voice and Pat Grant’s
comedic style offer a wonderfully unique worship experience!!
They are both entertaining and spiritually uplifting. Highly respected throughout the Universal Fellowship of
Metropolitan Community churches (UFMCC), they have traveled extensively
bringing the message that all are worthy of God’s Love regardless of
sexual orientation. They
recorded their first CD, “Turn On Your Light” in 1998 and their most
recent CD “Songs From The Road” in 2004.
They have been in ministry since 1995 and have preformed at over
300 bookings throughout the United States and Canada. Pat Grant and Carolyn Marshall
describe their ministry in these words, “Our calling to ministry is
reaffirmed daily.
The GLBT community is starving for God.
The more we travel the more we can attest to the damage done to
GLBT people by fundamentalist teachings.
We believe that our community is tired of settling for second
best and we strive to provide the very best we have to offer to ALL of
